Not long ago, people used blogs to express themselves. They would write about anything they could think of.
Now, it seems that blogging has evolved into something more … where you write about anything and everything about a particular topic.
This is not exactly true, but that is where the blogging trend is heading these days, and we thought this is something you should know if you were starting to start one.
Writing for You or Writing for People?
On the contrary, if you write about something you are naturally inclined to (passionate about), not only you gain a following for yourself but also earn money down the line.

For example, if you were passionate about developing yourself and improving your lifestyle, you can talk about those topics to help other people.
Remember: You do NOT need to be a certified or verified individual to talk about self-development and fitness topics. If you go to the gym every week, you can write useful blogs about it and help others who do not or would like to start.
Reading books also helps, but if you are engaged in something you enjoy doing, then you won’t have problem blogging about it.
There will always be people who want to go and join the gym and develop muscle and life in general, and there will always be people who would be struggling with their fitness goals.
Your job is to find a gap in this industry and write about what you already know.

Marketing Your Blog
There are several ways to do this.
One is to make your blog rank on Google, in the 1st page of Google to be exact, for its most relevant keywords. The fastest and easiest way for you to do this is to buy a Search Engine Optimization (SEO) course or hiring a professional SEO expert immediately.
In addition, you can also submit your blog to different blog directories. You can also submit it to article directories like EzineArticles and ArticleBase.com, and social network sites such as Facebook and Twitter, and ask your friends and connections to share your blog on their own walls.
If you do any one of the above mentioned things, that can help spread the word about your blog really fast.
On the other hand, if you want a lot of people following you, then you need to, of course, write informative and useful articles that are worth sharing. If there are topics that you are not comfortable with, try to find few sites that contain relevant information and then share it on your blog.
